2nd - 8th Grade  

Registration is based on the grade your player is this current Spring (2026)

This summer we are partnering again with Wilmette and the other towns in the Lakeside Softball League. We will wait to set the age divisions based on how many kids we get registered for each grade. Our goal is to make sure the divisions, rules and teams are developmentally appropriate and competitive. Registration is based on the grade your player will be entering in the Spring of 2026. The summer season is a great way for experienced softball players to continue the love of the game, but it is also a great place for new players to begin. Basic skills are emphasized and players will be pitching. Games will be fun and players will develop in their skills to be more competitive! Teams will have one practice and one game per week. Players will be assigned to teams with classmates and requests whenever possible, but we will also strive to balance the skills on the teams especially at the older levels.


WHERE & WHEN: 

  • Games on Mondays, Howard Park in Wilmette 6/22-8/3 (between 5-9PM). 
  • Rainouts will be rescheduled for Thursdays. Practices dates and locations will be determined by your coach. 

EQUIPMENT: 

  • Glove 
  • Batting Helmet- teams will have some shared helmets if needed 
  • Bat- teams will have a bat to use if needed 
  • Cleats recommended but not required 
  • Fielder’s mask (Grades 5-8 only)
