EBSA 2010 Fall Ball
Any player entering 3rd grade through 8th grade can register to play baseball in
a league that starts Saturday, September 11th. EBSA will play teams from
surrounding communities such as Wilmette, Kenilworth, Winnetka and Glenview.
Half of the games will be played at James Park. Games are usually played on
Saturday mornings. Practices, if any beyond the initial weeks, are determined by
each team/coach. Each player receives a jersey and hat. The season runs through
mid-October. The cost is $75. To register, click here.
****UPDATED TIMES****
EBSA Announces Tryouts For 13 & 14 Yr. Old 2011 Baseball Travel Teams
The Evanston Baseball / Softball Association will form two travel baseball teams at each age level. As in the past, the players on these teams will not be required to play in the EBSA pony house league.
Because EBSA considers these teams to be preparing players to participate at the high school level, the player must tryout with his/her grade level. There will not be a "play down" option. The 13 year old teams will be comprised of players entering the 7th grade this fall. The 14 year old teams will be comprised of players entering the 8th grade. A player must try out with his grade.
In addition, only those players who are geographically eligible to attend Evanston Township High School or have played in the EBSA program in the past are eligible to tryout.
Tryout Dates:
Sunday, September 12th from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. **
Sunday, September 19th from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. **
**NOTE THE TIME CHANGE FROM PREVIOUS ANNOUNCEMENT**
Players must attend BOTH the September 12th and September 19th tryout.
If a player misses one of those workouts, a make-up tryout date will be:
Sunday, September 26th from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.*
* The September 26th date is only for players who could not make both of the previous dates.
All tryouts will take place at James Park.
Check-in will be on the south side of the batting cages.
In the event of rain, tryouts will be held at ETHS and the change of location will be posted on the EBSA website: www.evanstonbaseball.com.
